IIFA
Last night was incredible. Never did it hit me so hard, as yesterday, how much IIFA has made an impact on my life. It gave not only a direction in my career, but on a more personal front, I discovered the realities of life and made two amazing friends - Jainita and Jaspreet.
We were invited to Nirmal's 21st birthday party at this very, very secluded spot on East Coast Beach. Jainita drove us down and that was fun. That was the second time in my life, and the first time in Singapore that I was seated in a car being driven by one of 'my friends'. (I also realized that I just HAD to get down to learning how to drive soon). But I trust her. And, I think, IIFA had instilled my trust in her even more than in the past.
Throughout the evening, from the time we stepped into Jainita's car, to the time Jaspreet got off bus number 14 at Orchard Road, all we talked about was IIFA. IIFA this, IIFA that.
IIFA was a truly amazing experience for us all. We have so much to share, and never be tired of it. It is a bond that has kept us going, added some spice to our lives and made us understand ourselves (and our capabilities) better. I am proud of my team at IIFA, I think we really proved that no matter how old and what background you come from, when there's a passion burning in us (whether it be for the sake of friendship, bollywood or just 'timepass'), a job can be done well.
A year on from IIFA and friendships and bollywood still going strong. What's next, I wonder.
